The General Practice and Primary Care Research Unit (GPPCRU) is based within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care which is one of Europe’s premier university departments of population health sciences. Staff from the unit make a major contribution to clinical teaching within the Cambridge Clinical School, to postgraduate education by supporting Masters and PhD students and Academic Clinical Fellows, and to research. Research hosted within the unit includes the Diabetes & Cardiovascular Disease Group, the Behavioural Science Group, a Department of Health Policy Research Unit on Behaviour and Health, the Cancer, Genetics and Palliative Care Group, the Social Science Group and the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research.
The Head of the Unit is Professor Martin Roland.
