Julie Grant - Research Assistant / Research Co-ordinator / PA to Professor Simon Griffin
Julie has a background in physical activity instruction. She joined the Unit in 1999 as Research Support Officer to Professor Kinmonth. Julie became a Research Assistant in 2001 and has since been involved in recruitment/retention for the Cambridge University Diabetes Trials Portfolio, providing and sustaining the communications interface between study participants for follow-up measures. Julie graduated in 2004; her specific interest being Participation in clinical research: factors influencing recruitment of healthy participants for disease prevention studies. Julie and fellow colleague Sue Boase co-authored the Unit’s position statement 2008 and a parallel discussion paper for the region, commissioned by Dr Melanie Rein of Cambs RDSU.
