Dr Rupert Payne - Clinical Lecturer

Rupert Payne trained in Edinburgh in both Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and General Practice. He took up his current post in Cambridge as a NIHR Clinical Lecturer in General Practice in November 2010. His interests include pharmacoepidemiology, electronic health records and data linkage, cardiovascular risk management, and vascular biomechanics. He is currently using linked routine primary and secondary care data in a number of ways to examine prescribing practices, in addition to investigating the use of these data for the purposes of quantifying multiple morbidity. Rupert holds an honorary fellowship at The University of Edinburgh, and an honorary contract at ISD, NHS Scotland.
