Genetic and Hormonal Determinants of Fetal and Childhood Growth

The group of Professor David Dunger is involved in analysing the genetic and hormonal determinants of size at birth and early growth.  The work centres on the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) and the Cambridge Baby Growth Study which is focusing on genetic and environmental influences on fetal and early childhood growth.  Collaborations with other cohorts study the genetic determinants of abnormal puberty and polycystic ovary syndrome in adolescent girls.
