Undergraduate Teaching
Undergraduate teaching in surgery takes place at several hospitals throughout the region. As well as Addenbrooke's, students go to Bedford, Hinchingbrooke and Ipswich hospitals for their attachment in Phase I, and during their Phase III attachment students are also placed at Colchester, King's Lynn, Milton Keynes, Peterborough and Welwyn Garden City .
Information regarding all aspects of the surgery attachments can be found on the Educational Resources Web (ERWeb), which has been developed by the Clinical and Biomedical Computing Unit (CBCU) as an on-line information environment for the Cambridge Clinical Course. The surgery section of the website includes the following information:
- Organisation and structure of the attachments
- Aims and objectives
- Contact details and Consultant staff photographs
- Firm timetables
- Lecture and seminar programmes
- Assessment
Some pages can be freely viewed, but other pages such as the handouts section and the timetables are password protected. You can request an ERWeb account by following the instruction underneath the log-in box. Click on the logo below to access the site.
