Investigators in the School of Clinical Medicine, led by Dr James Rudd (Medicine) and the Department of Pure Mathematics & Mathematical Statistics, have been awarded a £2M grant by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to establish an EPSRC Centre for Mathematical and Statistical Analysis of Multimodal Clinical Imaging.
The Centre is due to open in March 2016 and will apply cutting-edge mathematics and statistics to investigate problems in cardiovascular medicine, oncology, neuroscience, radiology and other areas in the Clinical School.
The collaboration of these investigators is an example of the University’s strategic research initiatives (SRIs) in action.
