Genomics England, which is delivering the 100,000 Genomes Project, is holding an event at Cambridge Town Hall on 30 April for participants and public.
University of Cambridge academics (particularly Lucy Raymond) are heavily involved and Cambridge is one of three pilot sites for this landmark project.
Whole genome samples are being donated with the consent of participants with rare disease (Lucy’s area) and with various cancers (breast, bowel, ovarian, prostate and lung).
If you are interested in attending please visit the Genomics England website for more details.
