Following the success of the School of Clinical Medicine’s first annual Wellbeing Week in September 2016, the Clinical School Wellbeing Team organised its second Wellbeing Week in November 2017. The week was another great success and included massages, access to Frank Lee Leisure and Fitness, fruit snacks distributed to every department/institute, a relaxation session and a talk by guest speaker Dr Kat Lederle on overcoming insomnia.
In addition the week marked the launched of the School’s Botanic Garden membership*, the collection of five electric pool bikes and the start of a four week step challenge. 21 teams across the School took part in a bid to increase their activity levels in a fun (and slightly competitive) environment. To find out more about the challenge and which departments/institutes dominated the leaderboard please click here.
*Clinical School staff now have access to free membership passes which grant access to the gardens throughout the week. If you would like to borrow one of the passes please visit the Clinical School building reception desk where you can sign out a pass on temporary loan. Queries about the passes should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org in the first instance.
