2017 Step Challenge
Following the popularity of last year’s competition, the Clinical School launched a month long Step Challenge on Tuesday 7 November 2017. 21 teams from across the School took part in a bid to increase their activity levels in a fun (and slightly competitive!) environment. Thank you to all of the teams who took part in this year’s challenge, collectively you walked an amazing 32,633,005 steps and the final results can be seen below;
As an extra incentive to encourage the teams out of their seats during the cold winter days, there are three prize categories to compete for:
- Best team photo
- Most steps walked in a month (overall team)
- Most steps walking in a month (individual)
And the winners are:
Most steps walked as an individual

Most steps walked as a team
The winning team is Team IRI– Department of Public Health and Primary Care / Institute of Public Health. They walked a mind-boggling 2,185,318 steps during the four-week challenge!
