This time last year, in advance of submitting our Athena SWAN Silver Award application, the E&D training completion rate for the School increased from 16% of academic and research staff to 34%, which was a terrific improvement. In our Athena SWAN Action Plan we committed to 50% completions by April 2014, but of course it would be great to be able to exceed this.
The University’s online course has now been improved and shortened. It covers diversity in all its forms, not just gender, so it is important that as many people as possible complete it. However if you are familiar with equality and diversity principles you might like to go straight to the test.
If you have already completed NHS E&D training you will not need to do the University training as well.
