About Mina Ryten
I am a clinician scientist with a long-standing interest in using human brain transcriptomics to understand neurological diseases. I began my medical training at Cambridge University, before completing an MBPhD and postdoctoral training at UCL, and returned to Cambridge as director of the UK DRI Cambridge.
Project/study information
My research uses human brain transcriptomic data to explore the genetic basis of neurodegenerative diseases. We identify gene-gene links in rare disorders and map risk variants to genes in complex diseases, with a focus on Lewy body disorders, building on a decade of expertise in this field.
Recruitment of PhD / Post doctoral students
We are recruiting PhDs and postdocs interested in understanding how RNA processing impacts on neurodegenerative diseases, and in the development of RNA targeting therapies for rare diseases.
We are currently seeking a data manager and/or software developer to work across multiple projects within the lab.
Please contact me via email if you think you have relevant skills, experience and motivation, or if you have any questions regarding the role.
