Genomic technologies and information will transform practice across the clinical professions over the next decade.
Recognising the importance of Genomics to the UK healthcare and biotechnology sectors, Health Education England have created a course syllabus for a new education and training programme in Genomic Medicine. The University of Cambridge is pleased to be able to offer this course in partnership with the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, EBML-EBI and Wellcome Trust ACSC [links available if you think they are appropriate]
The course will provide directly relevant professional training and research in the field of genomics, educating suitably qualified applicants to prepare for the future adoption of genomic technologies and the increasing use of genomic information as part of the diagnostic and treatment pathway.
Applications are now being accepted to the full-time, 1-year Master of Philosophy course. Part-time, 1- or 2-year courses leading to degree of Master of Studies or a Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma will be accepting applications shortly.
Health Education England have announced that funding is available for NHS staff wishing to apply for any of these courses. Further information is available from HEE.
