Congratulations to Dr Jens Kieckbusch (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) who has been awarded a 2016 Next Generation Fellowship by the Centre for Trophoblast Research, a virtual centre of researchers at the University of Cambridge with a common interest in placenta biology and maternal-fetal interactions during pregnancy.
Jens’ work has contributed to a better understanding of the role of natural killer (NK) cells in reproductive success.
The fellowship will provide him 3-year funding to begin a new research programme to understand how pregnancy complications may affect offspring immunity around birth and into adulthood.
