Early Cancer Institute
Research at the Early Cancer Institute focuses on detecting cancer early - when it's most treatable or even preventable.
The Early Cancer Institute at the University of Cambridge is the UK’s only institute dedicated to early cancer research.
As a world-leading centre focusing on the early detection of cancer, we are dedicated to catching cancer sooner - when it can be treated more effectively or even prevented altogether.
Our multidisciplinary research groups work at the forefront of early detection science, translating discoveries from bench to bedside.
We welcome enquiries from potential collaborators and researchers at postgraduate level and above.
Research themes
The Early Cancer Institute is currently home to 12 research groups performing ground-breaking work to understand how cancer develops and to inform novel clinical tests and interceptions to prevent cancer from developing.
