About Caroline Williams-Gray
I am a Principal Research Associate and Honorary Consultant Neurologist specialising in Parkinson’s disease. I lead a research group based at the John Van Geest Centre for Brain Repair in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. The overarching aim of our research is to better understand the variability of Parkinson's disease, with the ultimate goal of developing more targeted therapies for different disease subtypes. Our main areas of expertise are cohort and biomarker studies, immunophenotyping, neuroimaging and clinical trials.
Project/study information
My lab runs clinical translational research in Parkinson’s disease. We investigate the longitudinal progression of PD through cohort, biomarker and neuroimaging studies. Key areas of interest are the role of the immune system and gut dysfunction, and we are actively involved in clinical trials.
Recruitment of PhD / Post doctoral students
I am pleased to consider applications from prospective PhD students.
